Golden Counseling Center is a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider. Information you share with your therapist as part of clinical treatment — such as clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and other health information — is Protected Health Information (PHI) and is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), not by this website Privacy Policy.

 

Information submitted through general website forms (like a newsletter sign-up or a brief "contact us" message before you become a client) is generally not treated as PHI unless and until you become a client and it becomes part of your clinical record.

We retain website inquiry and newsletter information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or until you ask us to delete it.
