About Golden Counseling Center

Golden Counseling Center is a Colorado-based therapy practice rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship and at a pace your nervous system can actually sustain.

We believe healing is possible when people feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore, and empowered enough to move at their own pace.

Our work is grounded in the understanding that symptoms aren’t flaws - they’re signals. At GCC, therapy isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you reconnect with your capacity, resilience, and the parts of yourself that may have felt out of reach for a while.

Our team of experienced, caring therapists are committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can be seen, heard, and valued. We believe in meeting you where you are, honoring your story, and walking alongside you toward meaningful change.

Our Values

Care that adapts to you

Many approaches focus on rigid treatment plans. We take a more responsive path—adapting care as your needs evolve, and honoring that growth isn’t linear.

Nervous-system-informed therapy

We recognize how stress, trauma, and overwhelm shape the brain and body. Our work supports regulation, safety, and flexibility rather than pushing through or powering over.

Integrating Neurofeedback & Therapy

We view neurofeedback as a supportive tool for healing, not a replacement for therapy.

By helping the brain learn more regulated patterns, neurofeedback can make it easier to access insight, emotional flexibility, and presence in sessions.

When combined with therapy, this approach supports both the brain and the lived experience, creating space for change that feels steadier, more integrated, and more sustainable over time.

Integrated services at one location

In addition to counseling, we offer neurofeedback and Alpha-Stim to support clients whose nervous systems need more than talk therapy alone.
